The biggest engine ever fitted by BMW to the second-generation 3 Series was a 2.7-liter straight-six, but this car packs a mighty V8 punch. Itβs the well-known M62 engine in the M62B44 version
The M62 is a naturally aspirated V8 engine used by BMW in various 5-series, 7-series, and X-series from 1995-2005. The engine came in five size variants ranging from 3.5L to 4.8L, generating anywhere from 232hp to 370hp with the 4.8L featured in the Alpina F5. My car BMW 530i e39 2002- The car's gears work well, 3 gears and a speed of 80 km/h. When changing 4, it goes into fault mode, the speed of the car slows down, and the transmission fault light appears on the instrument panel. Originally Posted by BimmerBreaker. Converting an I6 E39 to M62 is a lot of work, not likely to be worth it IMO. oMdp. 384 648 483 995 397 694 450 546
